Establishes New Office to Root out Inefficiency

حوإ¼½م½م of America brought Infrastructure Week to a close last Friday with President Donald Trump at the Department of Transportation.  In his , President Trump criticized the red-tape associated with obtaining project permits and approvals, which can delay projects by a decade or more.  He signaled a new urgency within the Federal government to reform the permitting for infrastructure and announced a new office charged with modernizing and streamlining the process.

The office will reside within the Council for Environmental Quality.  â€œWe will get rid of the redundancy and duplication that wastes your time and your money.â€‌ President Trump said when announcing the office, which will “help project managers navigate the bureaucratic mazeâ€‌ and create “a new online dashboard allowing everyone to easily track major projects through every stage of the approval process.â€‌  The President also called for agencies to be held accountable for missing permitting deadlines.

حوإ¼½م½م has been leading the charge on permitting reform. Both Congress and the White House have turned to حوإ¼½م½م for common-sense recommendations.  حوإ¼½م½م has delivered solutions to the White House, to the regulatory agencies, and in testimony and letters to Congress.
