The Íæż½ã½ã Building Division represents the entire building construction industry. From large to small contractors, traditional and non-traditional, the Division does work to build America’s future. Building construction is a major contributor to employment and economic activity, in addition to producing structures that add to productivity and quality of life. In 2018, nonresidential construction spending in the U.S. totaled $748 billion ($453 billion private, $295 billion public) and nonresidential building and specialty trade contractors accounted for 3.4 million of the industry’s 7.3 million employees.
