Kate is the Communications Director for Clarkson Construction Company where she gets to flex her skills in photography, videography, marketing, social media, and community relations on some of Kansas City's largest infrastructureÌýprojects, like the Kansas City International Airport New Terminal Project, the Kansas Department of Transportation's first-ever progressive design-build project, and the upcoming Improve I-70 Kansas City project — just to name a few!
Before joining the Clarkson team, Kate's career spanned more than a decade in non-profit management and economic development.
A proud Kansas State Wildcat, Kate earned her Bachelor of Science and has professional certifications from Rockhurst University.Ìý When she's not under a hardhat, you'll find her giving back to the community, having dedicated nearly 15 years as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City and serving as a current member of the Veterans Community Project and Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation board of directors. She's also an alumna of Leadership Overland Park's class of 2016 and the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge class of 2022.
Kate lives in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, with her husband, Sam, and their pets: two cats, Freddie Purrcury and Fuzz Aldrin, and one absolutely terrible but very cute dog, McFly.
